After spending his rookie year winning the G League title with the Austin Spurs, Derrick White‘s second season with the San Antonio Spurs got off to a rough start due to a heel injury.
However, he recovered from that ailment and went on to have a breakout season that helped San Antonio reach the playoffs for the 22nd consecutive season while White also showed flashes of brilliance in their first round series against the Nuggets.
White’s development in year two is extremely promising, but he still has a lot to work on if he wants to be one of the league’s top point guards, and he knows it.
