After being acquired from the Bulls through the DeMar DeRozan sign-and-trade, many Spurs fans have suspected that Thaddeus Young could be a potential trade chip for the team.
That speculation has now been proven correct, as Shams Charania of The Athletic (subscription required) reported this morning that the Suns are “among the contenders who have pursued [the] Spurs forward.”
The 33-year-old Young averaged 12.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 4.3 assists last season for Chicago and will provide a good veteran presence for any team. His expiring contract and age seem to indicate that a trade will likely happen, but PATFO could decide to move him at the deadline to try and generate a bidding war.
