Report: The NBA and NBPA agree in principle to the terms of the 2020-2021 season

The NBA and NBPA have agreed in principle to a 72-game regular-season that will begin on December 22nd with negotiations to various provisions in the current collective bargaining agreement affected by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The league’s Board of Governors will vote on all terms at an undisclosed date, and barring an objection, Free Agency negotiations will start at 6 PM ET on November 20, with new signings eligible to become official on November 22 at 12:01 PM ET.

Other important information in the NBA’s Monday night press release includes potential player salary reductions in line with a new system for basketball-related income and a $109M Salary Cap for the 2020-2021 season with a roughly $132M Tax Level.
