I have been reading Project 82 by Ryan McCallum. It is a daily journal chronicling the 2014-2015 Spurs season as they looked to defend their 2014 NBA Championship. I came across an entry this week that brought back some memories. In particular, the passage where he highlights Tim Duncan’s monumental 25,000th point.
On November 14, 2014, Tim Duncan scored his 25,000th point.
The play went off without a hitch. There was very little fanfare or acknowledgement of the achievement on the court. Pretty standard Tim Duncan response - get back on defense and play on.
