Patty Mills offered a few specifics on what the Spurs needed to do to snap their two-game losing streak. It involved communicating on defense, closing out to shooters; the small things.
“Organization on offense,” Mills added. “Being able to set hard screens, cut hard. … Getting into offensive spacing for us to be able to play the style that we want to. We’ve been a little bit lackadaisical in that aspect of things.”
The Spurs (6-3) did improve in those areas, but they also got a big game from Pau Gasol in a 96-86 victory over the Detroit Pistons Friday night at AT&T Center.
