Postgame Wrap: Spurs show toughness in win over Rockets

HOUSTON – Patty Mills had no clue how he remained wide open with the game on the line. But there were no complaints, either.

Trailing by one, Manu Ginobili helped fix a broken play. Ginobili saw his teammate out the corner of his eye, drove to the basket, and then found Mills, who drained a 25-foot 3-pointer to give the Spurs a 102-100 lead with 12.9 seconds remaining, which they protected to beat the Houston Rockets on Tuesday at Toyota Center.

“I didn’t do anything other than just stand there,” said Mills, who finished with 13 points.
