Dewayne Dedmon watched Danny Green drive to the basket midway through the fourth quarter of Tuesday’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Noticing Karl-Anthony Towns had his back turned, Dedmon then cut, Green saw it, and assisted the big man on a dunk.
Dedmon erupted after the made basket – his way of bringing energy. He finished with five points and seven rebounds off the bench helping the Spurs beat the Timberwolves, 122-114, at AT&T Center.
“He was great,” said Spurs coach Gregg Popovich. “Hitting the boards, playing defense, moving, going to the rim; offensive boards. He accomplished his role very well tonight.
