HOUSTON – Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said Friday morning he and his staff remain undecided about who to start at point guard in place of the injured Tony Parker.
But one thing is certain: Popovich isn’t going to let the injury sink his team into a state of self pity.
“Tony has been a very important player for us for a long time,” Popovich said after shootaround in advance of Game 3 against the Rockets on Friday night in the West semifinals. “His leadership and the way he’s been playing in the playoffs, of course, he will be missed.
