SAN ANTONIO – The Spurs injury report released Monday included only two players: Danny Green (quad) and Dejounte Murray (groin) are out.
But that doesn’t mean others won’t play Tuesday when the Spurs host Memphis. On Sunday, Green, Murray, LaMarcus Aldridge (thumb) and Manu Ginobili (rest) were listed on the injury report as out, but Spurs coach Gregg Popovich also sat David Lee and Patty Mills.
Popovich said he didn’t arrive at the AT&T Center planning to rest Lee and Mills.
“I was sitting there,” Popovich said, “and somebody told me David got whacked in the last game a little bit (in a collision with Oklahoma City’s Enes Kanter), and if we needed him, he’d play.
