Well, that didn't take long. The NBA released their list of power rankings before the season started and placed San Antonio 15th in the league and 10th in the Western Conference. Just three games into the league's 80th campaign, they've had a significant change of heart. After just one update, the Spurs are now eighth in the league and fifth in the West. That's a start.
The other teams from the conference sitting above the Silver and Black are the Thunder, Warriors, Lakers, and Timberwolves. I can't say that I don't understand why they placed those teams in front of a Victor Wembanyama-led force of nature, but are we sure this is the case?
