NBA says Harden wrong, D’Antoni right in beefs after Spurs-Rockets game

SAN ANTONIO – The NBA report on the officiating in the last two minutes of Monday’s game revealed the refs got it right when they didn’t whistle the Spurs’ David Lee for a foul as he attempted to block the Rockets’ James Harden’s layup attempt with 21 seconds left and the Spurs leading, 110-108.

Harden’s shot was eventually blocked from behind by Kawhi Leonard.

“That was a good block,” Harden said, “but initially I got fouled (by Lee). That’s why the ball took so long to get up.”

But the NBA didn’t agree, calling it a “correct non-call” in its report.
