Forward Matt Bonner, 36, will become a free agent on July 1 and he's hoping for another deal from the San Antonio Spurs, even if it's just a one-year, veteran-minimum contract.
“I am going to try to play another year, hopefully with the Spurs,” Bonner told the San Antonio Express-News. “We’ll see what happens.”
Bonner, a 12-year NBA veteran, has been with the Spurs since 2006 and this season he did not play that much, so the team might not offer him another contract. If that occurs, Bonner might try to get a job in the front office once he retires.
