Matt Bonner is back. The 35-year old veteran resigned with the San Antonio Spurs on a veteran’s minimum deal for one-year.
Bonner averaged 3.7 points and 1.6 rebounds last season. According to Bonner, his reduced three-point shooting was due to the iPhone 6.
All jokes aside, Bonner still shot a respectable 37% from three, despite it being lower than his 41% career mark.
Bonner’s impact on the floor doesn’t come with numbers, it comes with his experience and ability to fit in with the Spurs system. Bonner won’t have the impact he did in 2008-09, when he averaged 8.
