As Adrian Wojnarowski reports, the Houston Rockets have traded Corey Brewer and a first-round pick to the Los Angeles Lakers for Lou Williams.
This could be more important than it seems right off the bat. Williams is a fantastic scoring guard, pouring in 18.6 points per game, while only averaging a little over 24 minutes off the bench. The former 6th Man of the Year should do incredibly well under Houston coach Mike D’Antoni.
The return for the Lakers is a bit underwhelming, but make no mistake. This was not about making the Lakers better.
