SAN ANTONIO – The Spurs will be without four players, including starters Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green, when they host the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday night.
Leonard will miss the game due to a right quad contusion he suffered in Wednesday night’s win over the Miami Heat. Three other players will receive the night off for rest purposes: Green, forward Boris Diaw and guard Patty Mills.
Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said after the 112-88 win over the Heat that he would be “looking at guys” to rest before the start of the playoffs.
“We look at that every year, so it won’t be any different this year,” Popovich said.
