Welcome to the Game Thread. Veterans of the Game Thread know how we do things around here, but for all you newbies we have a few rules. Our community guidelines apply and basically say be cool, no personal attacks, don’t troll and don’t swear too much.
The 2021-2022 NBA season is underway, and the Spurs play their first game tonight, against the Orlando Magic, who they beat 101-100 on October 10 in preseason. In that game, the starters ran up a large lead until the deep bench took over for most of the fourth, letting the energetic Magic squad almost make it all of the way back to a win.
