Illness sidelines Spurs’ Aldridge

SAN ANTONIO – Spurs power forward LaMarcus Aldridge will miss Tuesday night’s game against the Bucks due to gastroenteritis, the club announced Tuesday morning.

It’s the same illness that sidelined Spurs leading-scorer Kawhi Leonard for two games recently.

Aldridge is averaging 17.8 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.1 assists. In the Spurs’ 97-96 win over Milwaukee on Dec. 5, he scored 18 points, grabbed nine rebounds and dished out five assists.

The Bucks could also be shorthanded after star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo missed shootaround Tuesday morning due to an illness that coach Jason Kidd said included a fever.
