It’s not very often that Gregg Popovich has a lot of basketball things to say to the media, but when he does, people listen. Prior to the Spurs’ regular season finale against the Dallas Mavericks was one such occasion, when he gave a surprisingly lengthy explanation about why the Spurs pushed for the play-in tournament when they could have “tanked” / vied for a better draft pick.
