Green, Ginobili won’t play against Lakers

SAN ANTONIO – Shooting guard Danny Green will miss his third straight game Wednesday night with a left quad contusion, the Spurs announced.

The Spurs will also be without backup guard Manu Ginobili (right quad contusion) and rookie point guard Dejounte Murray (groin) when they host the Lakers in the second of a back-to-back set, according to the club’s injury report released Wednesday afternoon.

Coach Gregg Popovich could opt to suit up but rest other players, including All-Star forward Kawhi Leonard, who scored 32 points and grabbed a season-high matching 12 rebounds in 40 minutes in Tuesday’s 95-89 overtime victory over Memphis.
