SAN ANTONIO – If the second-seeded Spurs do wind up facing the seventh-seeded Grizzlies in the first-round of the playoffs, guard Manu Ginboili warned they must guard against losing their composure in the face of their opponents’ physical style of play.
“They play 48 minutes with intensity, grabbing, holding,” Ginobili said after the Spurs’ 97-90 win over Memphis on Thursday night.
“It’s their philosophy. And when you play that way the whole time, the refs get used to it, and so the game becomes like that. And we are not used to that. It’s not the way we do things.
