Last year’s pandemic saw many changes throughout the world and within the NBA. As we all remember, the league shutdown after the first cases of coronavirus were reported affecting players. The playing resumed in the Orlando bubble and the Los Angeles Lakers were crowned the champions of an otherwise lost season.
The NBA Draft was postponed. The following season was shortened. And, most egregiously, Summer League was canceled.
There is hope as the pandemic numbers improve that a full season will ensue for 2021-2022. Although many facets of the NBA’s year have been announced (the draft, free agency) the dates have been set further back than normal.
