The Round of 16 at Eurobasket continued Sunday where Pau Gasol (Spain) and Davis Bertans (Latvia) found themselves as victors following their games, but Adam Hanga and Hungary faced defeat when the final buzzer expired.
Though Gasol and Spain ended up beating Turkey by 17 points (73-56), for the majority of the game, the score was a lot closer than the end product, as Philadelphia 76ers forward Furkan Korkmaz (20 points) and Turkey stayed within striking distance of Spain before Espana eventually pulled away in the latter half of the fourth quarter. Gasol finished with 11 points (4-6 shooting), seven rebounds, four assists and two blocks during his 33 minutes of play.
