HOUSTON – Tim Duncan’s jersey retirement ceremony received rave reviews from his former teammates.
“The whole ceremony was great, very emotional. I loved it,” Spurs guard Manu Ginobili said. “I don’t know how he felt because I haven’t talked to him since, but I’m sure it was emotional for him and a lot of memories came back again. Twenty-three, if you count his college career, years of excellence. Well deserved.”
Spurs guard Danny Green agreed.
“It was excellent, and that’s what he deserves,” Green said after Tuesday morning’s shootaround at the Toyota Center. “It was very well put together, especially the videos.
