SAN ANTONIO – Even though he has played sparingly so far this season for his new team, former Spurs fan favorite Boban Marjanovic said he does not regret signing with Detroit in free agency over the summer.
“You never know what is a good decision, but you have to believe you are making a good decision,” Marjanovic said.
Told that comment is straight out of Gregg Popovich’s philosophical playbook, Marjanovic exclaimed, “He was my coach!”
In an interview following Pistons practice Thursday afternoon at the Antioch Sports Complex and Community Center on the East Side, Marjanovic credited the Spurs with putting him in position to sign a three-year, $21 million contract with Detroit.
