This piece could have been written two days ago were it not for a blowout in Orlando that allowed DeMar DeRozan to sit out the remainder of the game on Monday night. Instead, he surpassed Nash on his first shot of the night in the same way he did Kevin McHale Sunday night.
Quite a week for the former Toronto Raptor as he not only passed McHale on Sunday, but hit the game winner in Dallas.
Coincidentally, DeRozan passed Nash last night while playing against his former team.
Nash, the back-to-back NBA MVP in 2005 and 2006 now serves as the head coach of the Brooklyn Nets.
