Spurs Coach Gregg Popovich said Sunday that Dejounte Muray is going to miss two to three weeks because of a left groin injury. There are three and a half weeks remaining in the Spurs’ season.
“He’s progressing, but they told me a couple more weeks,” Popovich said. “Who would have guessed. I had never heard of the injury myself.”
Murray sustained the injury in the first half of the Spurs’ game against Oklahoma City on March 9. He had an MRI, and said he was surprised to learn that he’d be out for so long.
“Of course I want to play,” Murray said.
