The Spurs made the splash of the summer, when they signed LaMarcus Aldridge to a four-year, $80 million contract. The move that went a bit unnoticed, was the signing of David West. The move can prove to be the difference, come playoff time. West brings experience and toughness to the Spurs.
Signing West for under two million a year doesn’t even seem fair. West opted out of his $12.6 million player option with the Indiana Pacers. This means that the move to the Spurs will cost him at least $10 million per year.
