The Memphis Grizzlies sat Mike Conley on Wednesday evening against the Oklahoma City Thunder, one night after he suffered an eye injury versus the San Antonio Spurs.
"We just want the swelling to go down," Grizzlies coach David Fizdale said. "It blew up overnight, so he can't even see out of the eye. He's got to get the swelling down so that he can get back to work."
Conley was hurt with 3:42 left to play on Tuesday when he collided with Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard. He was repaired by what one of the team's athletic trainers called "a continuous stitch.
