As the San Antonio Spurs look to return to title contention, they may have found a competitive edge to help them do just that. Star Victor Wembanyama recently came up with an interesting idea to create a superfan section dedicated to only the craziest Spurs fans.
The goal is to create a home court advantage that isn't easily replicated. Historically, the Spurs have had a terrific home-court advantage, especially during the Tim Duncan era. They went 40-1 during the 2016-17 season, tied for the best mark in NBA history, and also went 38-3 during the 2004-05 season.
The Spurs are hoping to have that type of dominance at home, and having a competitive advantage such as bonkers fans is one way to do it.
