MORAGA, Calif. — Filippo Zattarin has been named Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Sept. 10-16 following his impressive performance in double overtime against UC Riverside this past weekend.
Zattarin brought the Gaels to victory on Sunday as he scored the game-winning goal in double overtime. The sophomore defender's second career score was set up in close proximity on a pass from Stephen Dougherty in the 102nd minute of play.
With the win, the Gaels improve their perfect winning streak to 7-0 as they return home for a match against UC Santa Barbara at 4 p.
