The Saint Mary’s baseball team is getting hot at the right time.
The Gaels (9-3) have won five of their last six games, culminating in a 4-0 win over Nevada Tuesday afternoon in Moraga ahead of the team’s big series at No. 24 Vanderbilt this weekend.
“I commend our guys for coming out,” Saint Mary’s head coach Eric Valenzuela said. “You don’t play five games in a row very often. We’re playing good, local teams and to get pitching and get our depth going, it was a good five days. These guys need little bit of a break.
