MORAGA, Calif. — The Saint Mary's men's and women's cross country teams travel 2,000 miles this week for their biggest races to date in 2017, as they compete in the prestigious Joe Piane Invitational at the University of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, Ind.
Both programs have had tune-up competitions to start the year. The men have had a race winner in each of their first two races. Noah McDermott won the Nevada Twilight race on Sept. 1 while leading the Gaels to the team title. Raymond Boffman grabbed the victory in a dual meet at Santa Clara on Friday.
