SAN MATEO, Calif. – The 2022 WCC Preseason All-Conference Team and preseason poll were announced today, with the Gaels Mariia Kozyreva making the All-Conference Team and SMC was predicted to finish in the top half of the conference.
Kozyreva is currently the No. 36 player in the country and is 15-3 overall and 5-1 in dual-match play. The Saint-Petersburg, Russia native has had a fantastic year in which she has advanced to the ITA National Fall Championship Quarterfinals, the ITA Division-I Northwest Regional Semifinals, and defeated the No. 1 seed at the KPSF Open in San Francisco.
