SAN BRUNO, Calif. — Four Saint Mary’s women’s tennis players received West Coast Conference All-Academic honors Thursday, led by junior Jana McCord, who was named to the 2016 WCC All-Academic Team.
McCord carried a cumulative 3.94 Grade Point Average while majoring in politics. She played primarily No. 1 singles for the Gaels all season long, winning there four times while also posting a 3-1 record at No. 2 singles. She won twice at the WCC Championship Tournament in No. 2 doubles with partner Jamie Pawid, helping lead the Gaels to the championship match.
