BERKELEY, Calif. — The start of the 2016 spring season was a victorious one Friday for the St. Mary's College women's tennis team, as every player earned a victory on day one of the Cal Winter Invitational.
Freshman Clementine Clement won her collegiate debuts in both doubles and singles Friday. She started the day teaming with Vanessa Nommensen to beat the Fresno State duo of Sofya Malysheva and Olivia Noble, 6-2, in doubles. She then defeated Cal Poly's Bryn Bacharach 6–3, 7–5, to win her first career singles match.

Nommensen also made it a two-win day after her doubles win with Clement by beating Cal Poly's Abigail Bacharach, 6-3, 6-1.
