SPOKANE, Wash. — Saint Mary's (5-8, 3-4 WCC) couldn't overcome a tough Gonzaga (12-7, 4-2 WCC) squad on Friday as they fell at Stevens Center, 4-0.
GU jumped out ahead 1-0 after claiming two doubles wins. The Bulldogs took sets on Courts 1 and 2 by scores of 6-2 and 6-3, respectively.
Gonzaga completed the sweep with straight set wins from their No. 4, 6, and 3 players. Mariia Kozyreva and Lene Mari Hovda each won the first set in their respective matches but couldn't finish before GU claimed their fourth point.
