MORAGA, Calif.— In the second day of the Saint Mary’s Invitational, senior Jana McCord won a pair of singles contests to advance into tomorrow morning’s semifinals, and also cruised to the doubles final with partner Jacqueline Pelletier.
In the A Doubles draw, McCord and Pelletier faced Marine Dans and Miyo Kobayashi of San Jose State. The Gaels duo was in full command in the morning match, as McCord and Pelletier rolled through to the finals with an 8-4 win.
“Jana and Jacqueline are still learning each other’s games, but are seeing improvement each and every day,” said head coach Lisa Alipaz.
