BERKELEY, Calif. — Saint Mary's kicked off their fall season at the Cal Fall Invitational on Friday and picked up three wins on the singles courts.

No. 68 Mariia Kozyreva went three sets with her opponent from Nevada but won both her sets 6-0 to take the match. Danielle McIntyre picked up a win in singles in 6-1, 6-3 fashion over Del Barrio from Nevada. To wrap up the day's matches, freshman Gabriela Tevez won in straight sets over conference-rival BYU, 7-5, 6-2.

In the Gaels' only doubles match of the day, Jordan Harris and Tevez fell 8-5 in a close match against Gonzaga's pair of Tsuruta/Ketels.
