BERKELEY, Calif. — The Saint Mary’s women’s tennis team opened its 2016-17 fall season Friday at the Cal Nike Invitational with four players making Saturday’s quarterfinals in singles and three doubles teams doing the same.
Jana McCord and Parminder Kaur, along with Vanessa Nommensen and freshman Jacqueline Pelletier, were all winners in singles and doubles Friday. All four advanced through two singles rounds and earned a doubles win to get to the quarterfinals in both competitions.
