MORAGA, Calif. — In a mild temperature day, the Saint Mary’s women’s tennis hosted its home opener versus Pac-12 opponent Washington, and ultimately fell in a battle-tested match to the Huskies.
The day started off strong for the Gaels, as the team claimed the doubles point. Playing as the top doubles team, Emma Critser and Danielle McIntyre played lights out, scoring the 6-1 win. Jana McCord and Kareena Manji got the job done on court 2, as the duo played powerful, smart tennis en route to the 6-3 victory.
