MORAGA, Calif. — The Gaels returned to Moraga on Friday for their first tournament at home, as they hosted Day 1 of the SMC Fall Invitational. Saint Mary's picked up wins in four of the five brackets they competed, putting up solid numbers along the way.
THE DRAW
In doubles competition, Saint Mary's recorded wins in all three of the brackets in which they competed. In the Doubles A bracket, Mariia Kozyreva and Aubane Ville worked together to beat Bul/Maxfield from San Francisco with a score of 8-6. Gaels Clementine Clement and Lisel Pieters played a hard fought match, but eventually lost 8-6 to Makarova/Pick from Washington.
