STANFORD, Calif.— With all three doubles teams victorious and five players advancing to the round of 32 in singles action, the Saint Mary’s women’s tennis team displayed precision and power on the first day of the ITA Northwest Regionals held at the Taube Family Tennis Stadium.
Saint Mary’s got the day started quickly with three impressive wins in doubles competition. The duo of Emma Critser and Parminder Kaur took full command in an 8-3 rout over Maria Smith and Maya Jansen of California. The Gaels broke the Golden Bears and continued to hold their serve for the duration of the match.
