MORAGA, Calif. - Freshman Sydney Middaugh has earned the Shamrock Office Solutions Student-Athlete of the Week award with an outstanding performance against San Diego and Pacific this past week.
Wednesday evening when the Gaels were in San Diego, Middaugh had an assist to Briana Salvetti in the 48th minute, where SMC tied the score 1-1. The Gaels continued to attack where eight minutes later Emma Barthel passed the ball to Middaugh, where Middaugh shot with her right foot to bring the score 2-1 after the ball slipped through the keeper's arms.
