MORAGA, Calif. – Saint Mary's fought a defensive battle against the Fresno State Bulldogs on Sunday afternoon to complete the 1-0 shutout and improve their record to 4-3 on the season. The Gaels have now won four of their last five matches.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The first half of the match was a defensive stalemate with Saint Mary's taking four shots and Fresno state taking five. The Gaels defended against two corner kicks from the Bulldogs in the first half while sophomore Maleah Milner ended the match with five saves, two of which came off set pieces.
