MORAGA, Calif. — Maleah Milner has been named Student-Athlete of the Week for the period of Sept. 23-30 for her two-straight shutout performance against Portland State and Montana last week.
Milner led the Gaels in their victory over Portland State after she made five saves during the contest, three of which came in the second half of play. In SMC's 1-0 win over Montana, the junior was only forced to make three saves with her best save coming in the 74th minute when a Grizzlies' defender tried to head the ball into the goal off a corner kick but Milner caught the ball to prevent the defender from scoring in the 74th minute.
