MORAGA, Calif. -- With eight starters returning and the second-year coaching staff having its transition year under it belt, there continues to be a positive vibe surrounding the Saint Mary's women's soccer program.
One key starter for the Gaels is senior forward Kiana Quarles, a San Diego native that transferred to Saint Mary's after playing two seasons at CSU San Bernardino under Gaels head coach Travis Clarke.
Two of Quarles' three goals last season were match winners and she finished third on the team in points. She started all 20 matches and her match-winner at Pepperdine was named the West Coast Conference's top play on TheW.
