BURLINGTON, Vt. — In the finals of the TD Bank Classic, Saint Mary's fought through another tough, overtime match and came out on top over Maine with a 2-1 win to even their record at 2-2. The Black Bears moved to 0-2-1 with the loss.
HOW IT HAPPENED
After 90 minutes, both teams were locked up at 1-1 and the match went into overtime. With time winding down in the first overtime session, Jaylen Crim caused a turnover in the Maine half and then beat the keeper on a one-on-one with a poke shot to the right side to seal the victory for the Gaels.
