Box Score PULLMAN, Wash. – Saint Mary's Women's Soccer defeated the No. 15 team in the country on Thursday night, shutting out the Washington State Cougars 1-0 for their first loss of the season while the Gaels improved to 4-2-1 on the year.
It was SMC's first win over a top-25 ranked team since 2005 when they beat No. 24 Dartmouth, a season where they also tied No. 15 Pepperdine. It's there first win against a team ranked No. 15 or higher since they defeated No. 3 Portland and No. 6 Cal in 2001.
