MORAGA, Calif. — A heavy second half push by the Bulldogs proved to be no match for the Gaels' defense as Saint Mary's held on for a 1-0 shutout win on Sunday. Freshman goalie Sonja Rajatalo made her fourth consecutive start for the Gaels and recorded her second clean sheet of the season with the win. Saint Mary's improved to 6-6 (2-0 WCC) with their third straight victory while Gonzaga fell to 9-2-1 (1-1 WCC). The game's score was decided within the first three minutes when Hannah Diaz connected on a free kick placed just outside the box.
