WSOC | Gaels Draw With Idaho In Hawai'i

WAIPAHU, Hawai’i — Another strong defensive effort Sunday propelled the Saint Mary’s women’s soccer team to its first draw of the season, as the Gaels shutout Idaho in a 0-0 tie in a neutral site match at Waipi’o Peninsula Soccer Stadium.

The offense was dominant for the second straight game in the early goings. Saint Mary’s (0-5-1) outshot Idaho (1-2-2) 9-5 in the first half and extended it to an 11-5 advantage early in the second half. Samantha Dion led all players with four shots, two on goal, in the double-overtime tie. Hannah Diaz also had two shots on goal (three total) and Morgan Darling had two shots, one on frame.
